04Feb2003 Kingdom gives 360 tons of dates to Ethiopia

Addis Ababa, 4th February 2003

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia today handed over 360 tones of dates to Ethiopia.

This assistance is part of the total volume of 4,000 tons of dates that the Kingdom has allocated for the Word Food Program (WFP) for a number of countries, including Ethiopia.

The assistance was handed over by the Kingdom’s Ambassador to Ethiopia, Salah el-Deen Ahmad Sarhan, to the Director of the WFP in Ethiopia, Georgia Schiefer.
