Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz, Second Deputy Premier, Minister of Defence and Aviation and Inspector General of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, today arrived on a visit to Algeria.
At Houari Boumedian Airport, Algeria’s Speaker of the National Council, Abdulqadir Bou Salih, Chief of Staff of the National People’s Army; General Mohammed Al-Ammari; Foreign Minister, Abdul Aziz Balkhadim; Saudi Ambassador to Algeria, Bakr Qazaz, and other officials received Prince Sultan.
The Algerian President, Abdul Aziz Boutaflika, later received Prince Sultan and a number of his accompanying Princes.
Prince Sultan and the President held talks during which they discussed the latest developments in the Middle East region, the suffering of the unarmed Palestinian people due to killing and displacement by the Israeli forces, the Arab situation in general and bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries.
The President later hosted a dinner party in honour of Prince Sultan.
Prince Sultan and the President then held a closed-door session, at which they reviewed topics of mutual concern and the situation in Arab and international arenas.
