Prince Al-Waleed Bin Talal is to donate $10 million to a Cairo University to help promote understanding between the Arab world and the U.S., the University announced yesterday.
The American University in Cairo (AUC) said that Prince Al-Waleed would present the donation to its President, Thomas Bartlett, at a ceremony later today.
The donation will help fund the Humanities and Social Sciences Building on the new campus, and establish a Centre for American Studies and Research, as part of ongoing efforts to bridge the gap between the East and West and to promote better understanding of American society and policies.
