President Ali Abdullah Salih of Yemen today received visiting Director General of the Saudi Border Guard, Lieutenant General Talal bin Mohsin Al-Anqawi.
During the meeting, Al-Anqawi conveyed to President Salih the greetings of Prince Naif bin Abdul Aziz, Minister of The Interior, and his best wishes for continuous health and happiness for the President and progress and prosperity for the Yemeni people. They also discussed the fraternal relations and joint cooperation between the two countries in the field of security and border guard authorities.
President Salih stressed the importance of enhancing cooperation and coordination between the two countries in the field of security and combating all kinds of trafficking. He praised the role of the security authorities and border guard in the two countries, and lauded the positive environment of confidence and understanding created by the Jiddah Historical Border Demarcation Treaty.
The meeting was attended by the Yemeni Undersecretary of the Interior Ministry for Security Affairs, Major General Mohammed Al-Gosi, and the Saudi Ambassador to Yemen, Mohammed bin Mirdas Al-Gahtani.
