11Jan2003 Envoy lauds Saudi-Jordanian ties

Amman, 11th January 2003

Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Jordan, Abdul-Rahman bin Nasir Al-Ouhaili, on Saturday lauded Saudi-Jordanian relations.

In an interview with "Al-Sharae" magazine, the Ambassador said that relations between the two countries have been greatly enhanced in all fields by directives of the leadership of both countries.

He stressed that developments in relations have positively impacted various aspects of cooperation, particularly in trade, economic and education fields.

“Hundreds of Saudis are studying in Jordanian universities and institutions because of the prevailing atmosphere of security and stability in Jordan,” he said.

With respect to the Saudi stance on current events, the Ambassador said that the Kingdom, under the directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince, is very keen to enhance Arab cooperation and solidarity.
