The 10th Conference of Arab-African Parliamentary Dialogue began here on Wednesday evening, during which the Conference appointed Head of the Saudi Shoura delegation, Badr Korrayem, Vice-President of the Conference.
The Ethiopian Speaker of the People’s Council, David Yuha Nis, is chairing the Conference’s deliberations. Ethiopian President Girma Woldegiorgis opened the Conference here last night. In his inaugural address, the President wished success to the Conference.
Participants at the Conference stressed the importance of the position and service rendered by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to various causes in the international arena.
The first session of the Conference tackled a number of international issues and current developments, with particular focus on the Palestinian cause and the situation in Iraq.
