Saudi Arabian Airlines (SAA) is expected to transport 893,702 pilgrims on 1,754 flights from 70 international destinations during this year’s Hajj program, according to SAA Director General Dr Khaled Abdullah bin Bakr.
In a press statement after receiving the first group of 400 Indian pilgrims, who arrived in Jiddah this morning from Bombay on board an SAA flight, he said that SAA would carry approximately 70,000 Indian pilgrims from four cities this year, in accordance with an agreement signed with Air India. The four Indian cities are New Delhi, Bombay, Ahmadabad and Hyderabad.
