Prince Naif bin Abdul Aziz, Minister of The Interior, has agreed to assume honorary Presidency of the Saudi Information and Communication Society, an affiliate of King Saud University.

The Director of the University, Dr Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Faisal, said that the Prince’s agreement is a source of pride for personnel of the University and members of the Society. He pointed out that Prince Naif had previously proposed to rename the Saudi Society for Communication Sciences to its current name with his support for the Society.

Dr Abdullah noted that Prince Naif’s agreement to patronize the first annual information forum of the Society in Muharram 1424 H reflects his appreciation and support of its role.

He stressed that the support of the Prince, who is also President of the Higher Council of Information emanates from his strong belief in the importance of information in this era: “the era of information and information science”.
