The President of King Abdul Aziz City for Sciences and Technology, Dr Salih bin Abdulrahman Al-Athl, highlighted the achievements of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the fields of science and technology.
Addressing the Saudi Intellectual Forum held here last night by the Saudi Ambassador to Egypt, Ibrahim Al-Saad Al-Ibrahim, who is also Dean of the Arab diplomatic corps, Dr Al-Athl noted that the City has a higher authority presided over by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz.
Dr Al-Athl pointed out that the City has conducted scientific research via Saudi research institutes in the fields of environment, petroleum, communications, among others. In this regard, he said that the city recently launched two research satellites, which involved Saudi technicians and professors.
