6th April 2013 - Attempts to fragment Syria

The Telegraph reports that Saudi Arabia and the United States are backing efforts to build a strong rebel enclave in southern Syria with a view to taking Damascus and providing a more moderate, Western-orintatedrebel counterweight to the extreme Islamist rebels elsewhere in Syria.
