5th April 2013 - UK Foreign Office condemns 'paralysis' threat

The UK Foreign Office has described the threat of surgical paralysis as the punishment for a crime committed ten years ago by Ali al-Khawahir, now 24, as "grotesque". The boy stabbed a friend in the back, paralysing the friend from the waist down. Unless blood money is paid, Ali al-Khawahir faces surgical paralysis.
