28th July 2003 - Prince Abdul Aziz bin Majid visits those injured in shootout

Buraidah, Saudi Arabia, 28th July 2003

Prince Abdul Aziz bin Majid bin Abdul Aziz, the Deputy Governor of Qasim Region, tonight visited those who were injured while confronting a group of suspected militants at a farm in Al-Qasim Region, in order to be reassured of their welfare.

Upon arrival at King Fahd Specialist Hospital in Buraidah, Prince Abdul Aziz was received by Acting Director General of Health Affairs in Qasim, Dr Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Saiqal, Chief Qasim Region Police Major General, Khalid bin Abbas Al-Tayyeb, and a number of officials.

Prince Abdul Aziz conveyed to the injured the greetings of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz, Crown Prince Abdullah and the Second Deputy Premier. He paid tribute to their courageous efforts in defence of their religion, King and nation. He lauded the achievements of the security forces in all regions of Saudi Arabia, particularly Al-Qasim.
