28th July 2012 - Saudi women appear in Olypmpic opening ceremony

For the first time, Saudi Arabia included women in its Olympic contingent in the opening ceremony at the London Olympics. In the company of Brunei and Qatar, Saudi Arabia finally joined the rest of the world in including women in its Olympic team.
