8th March 2012 - Celebration of progress in the emancipation of Saudi women

On the occasion of International Women's Day, the British newspaper the Guardian celebrated what it sees as progress in the emancipation of women in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, citing the women's driving campaign, the enfranchising of women in Saudi municipal elections and the exclusion of men from jobs involving the selling of lingerie to women.
