9th February 2012 - Syrian government forces continue bombardment of Homs

Activists say at least 50 people have died when Syrian forces launched fresh mortar and rocket attacks in the city of Homs on Tuesday. The failure of the Arab League-sponsored UN resolution is widely seen as contributing to President Assad's intransigence.
