13th November 2010 - Opposition to capital punishment grows at UN

A moratorium resolution on capital punishment was adopted by 107 votes to 38, with 36 abstentions at the UN general assembly's main human rights committee late Thursday, despite opposition from China, Saudi Arabia and Iran.
