25th July 2010 - Iran announces nuclear fusion prorgamme

Asghar Sediqzadeh, head of Iran`' fusion research institute, has revealed the launch of a programme, with an initial budget of 8 million dollars, aimed at developing a nuclear fusion reactor. This is a goal that has had decades of research and billions of dollars devoted to it in the West, without, so far, any plausible prospect of commercial success in the near future.
