24th January 2010 - Saudi Arabia not to increase spending, minister says (Reut)

Saudi Arabia's Finance Minister Ibrahim al-Assaf has said the Kingdom does not plan to increase spending further, preferring to ensure it keeps its reserves in good shape, but has warned against any early cut-back in the stimulus packaghe put in place by most of the world's larger economies to counter the threat of recession caused by the global banking crisis.
