30th November 2009 - Somali Pirates Hijack Saudi Oil Tanker (NYT)

The Greece-flagged Maran Centaurus tanker, carrying more than $20 million of crude oil from Saudi Arabia to the United States has been captured by Somali pirates in the waters off East Africa. The seizure poses a range of security, economic, environmental and political issues.
