26th November 2009 - Two Million Muslims Prepare to Stone Devil At Haj (NYT)

After heavy rains, around two million Muslims made their way to Muzdalifah to make ready for the stoning of the devil ceremony. The Saudi Government has undertaken a massive development project on the Jamarat bridge to minimise the danger of accidents and stampedes which have sometimes occurred during the 'stoning of the devil' in the past.
