7th November 2009 - Saudi won't bar hajj pilgrims over swine flu fears (AP)

Saudi Health Minister Abdullah al-Rabeeah has confirmed that Saudi Arabia will not bar anyone from performing Hajj on the grounds they are at high risk from swine flu. He observed that the recommendatons of the health conference in Cairo that those over 65, under 12 or pregnant should not perform Hajj were precautions that should be implemented by the authorities in each country as they saw fit.
