The author, Etan Bronner, argues that, whatever the world says, the truth of the matter is that acts of violence achieve more in the Arab/Israeli conflict than talks and negotiation. He concedes that the gains achieved through violence may only be short term, but, whether short-term or long-term, they seem to be nmore effective than the largely ineffective attempts to negotiate solutions to any aspect of the conflict.
