A Saudi national, Shaker Aamer, who moved to the UK in 1996 and who was arrested in Afghanistan has alleged that he has been systemtatically abused and tortured by the CIA, with the complicity of a British MI5 agent. He has been held in Guantanamo Bay for the last seven years. Britain (which apparently acknowledges that American suspicions that the Saudi is a terrorost are unfounded) has lodged an extradition request. To date, this extradition request has been denied because of American "security concerns".
