23rd August 2009 - Over 100 Reported Dead In Yemen After Ceasefire Call (IHT)

The Yemen Government has announced that more than 100 rebels have been killed in fighting in North Yemen. Amongst the dead are said to be two Shi'ite leaders. So far the disputing parties have failed to agree a ceasefire. North Yemen borders the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
