18th August 2009 - Essar bids for British oil refinery in Shell auction (TT)

An auction of three Shell oil refineries has attracted interest from a number of national oil companies, including Saudi Arabian investors. The Indian group Essar has made a bid for Shells' Stanlow refinery at Ellesmere Port.
