U.S. National Public Radio website has announced that Sa'ad bin Laden, a son of Osama bin Laden and a member of Al Qaeda, has been killed by a missile fired from a U.S. drone in Fata in Pakistan. Saad bin Laden had travelled to Pakistan after being released from house arrest in Iran where he had been held for several years. He himself was not the primary target in the missile strike. The American military has not confirmed the report.
