28th June 2009 - Saudi unlikely to cut repo rate in next quarter


As the global economic crisis rolls out across all economies, the Saudi Arabian economy is expected to contract just a little (0.2 percent) at constant prices in 2009. The Kingdom's cental bank has already cut the rate it pays to commercial banks for deposits and it is now thought unlikely that Saudi Arabia will cut its benchmakr lending rate in the third quarter.
