As part of a move to persuade the authorties to allow women to serve in shops selling women's lingerie, a private training college has organised a 10-day course in Jeddah to train women in such matters as the fitting of bras. At present, only men can serve in such shops, a cause for embarrassment to women and an anomaly in a society which does so much to prevent contact between women and non-related men.
