11th March 2009 - Facebook launches in Arabic and Hebrew (D Tel)

Facebook, which already has 250,000 users of the English version in Saudi Arabia, is about to launch an Arabic version. The Arabic language version is expected to stimulate a surge of users in the Arab world. Facebook is also launching a Hebrew version. According to the Daily Telegraph "Facebook is now available in 40 languages with more than 60 others in development."
