9th March 2009 - 2,000kgs of cannabis seized in Saudi drug busts (ABC N)

Officials at the Saudi Arabian Interior Ministry have announced that 2,000 kilograms of cannabis resin and more than 3 million amphetamine tablets have been seized in a police operation which has seen 35 drug dealers arrested in raids across the country. The authorities suggested the dealers had been engaged in a business worth more than 156 million dollars.
