5th March 2009 - Review of intel official's ties to Saudi govt (WP)

The Washington Post reports that the appointment of Charles Freeman as head of the US National Intelligence Council has prompted some Republicans to call for an enquiry into Mr Freeman's relations with Saudi Arabia, China and Iran. It seems Mr Freeman's criticism of the Israeli government has generated the predictable knee-jerk reaction from the pro-Israeli lobby.
