4th March 2009 - Oil price up over petrol demand (BBC)


The price of oil has risen by almost 9% as crude stocks have fallen and demand has been unexpectedly strong. The primary cause seems to be a rise in the Chinese manufacturing sector's production index which is encouraging stock markets in general and is exerting upward pressure on the price of oil.
