The Washington Post summarises Hillary Clinton's approach to the Middle East conflict. She has declared that the Obama Administration will be much more focused and vigorous than its predecessor in pursuit of a just peace in which two independent states, Israel and Palestine, live in peace beside each other. In particular, she implied support for the Saudi-sponsored Arab peace plan put forward by the then Crown Prince Abdullah, now King, in 2002. "In her address, Clinton also said "we take inspiration from" a 2002 Arab-Israel peace plan put forward by Saudi Arabia. The Saudi proposal - later adopted by the Arab league - offers peace to Israel in exchange for land seized by the Jewish state in the 1967 Middle East war."
