26th June 2008 - Saudi Arabia - Qaeda Suspects Held (NYT)

The Saudi authorities have arrested and detained in the last 12 months 520 people on suspicion of ties to Al Qaeda. Some have been charged with planning car bomb attacks on an oil installation; others a similar attack on an un-named target. This is the largest number of arrests announced at one time.
