At the instigation of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah, senior politicians and officials from around the world are meeting today to discuss the complex issue of oil prices and the role of speculators. Amongst the politicians are British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, US Energy Secretary Samuel Bodman and Indian Finance Minister P. Chidambaram. The major oil companies are also well-represented.
