Saudi Arabia is taking a risk in hosting the world's major oil consumers at a conference in Jeddah since they generally seem intent on blaming the Kingdom and its OPEC fellow members for the high oil price - but it will give the Kingdom the opportunity to present its own view that oil supply is not the only, and indeed not necessarily the major, factor in the current escalation of the oil price.
