21st April 2008 - Muslim call to adopt Mecca (Makkah) time

At a conference of Muslim scientists and clerics held in the Gulf state of Qatar a call has been made for adoption of Makkah time to replace GMT, with proponents arguing that the Saudi holy city is the true centre of the Earth.
