18th March 2008 - Vatican plans to open church in Saudi Arabia (D Tel)

Following the opening of Qatar's first Catholic church on Sunday, the Vatican is negotiating with Saudi Arabia to open a Catholic church in Saudi Arabia. The papal envoy in the Arabian Gulf has suggested that the establishment of a church in the Kingdom would be a clear sign of "reciprocity" between the faiths.
