13th March 2008 - Chad and Sudan make peace

President of Sudan Omar Hassan al-Bashir and Chadian President Idriss Deby have signed a peace agreement intended to end cross-border attacks by rebels in a region which includes Sudan's Darfur area. The agreement commits both parties to abiding by past peace pacts brokered by Saudi Arabia and Libya.
