In 2002, Saudi Arabia recalled its ambassador from Qatar, as a protest against at the editorial policy of Al Jazeera, the Qatari-financed television channel. In 2007, King Abdullah attended a summit in Qatar and later Qatar's Emir, Sheihk Hamad, paid a vist to the Kingdom. Now, Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Sultan begins a three day visit to Qatar which is seen as and indication of further improvement in Saudi/Qatari relations.
