11th March 2008 - U,S. Trade Deficit Up as Imports Hit Record (NYT)


January saw imports in the United States reach a record level of $206.4, leaving a trade deficit of $58.2 billion. "The country's trade deficit with oil producing nations, including Saudi Arabia, Venezuela and Nigeria, grew to $15.5 billion in January, from $12.6 billion in December."
