As many as 4,000 Indonesian pilgrims, in nine batches, left here today for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj.
An Official of the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs said more than 3,900 pilgrims aboard Indonesian Airlines, left Thursday for the Kingdom from eight Indonesian airports.
He added that the Indonesian government had also rented some planes from other international aviation companies for the transportation of pilgrims during the current Hajj season.
