In an attempt to calm the situation in Lebanon, Saudi Arabia has given its support for an extraordinary Arab League meeting on Lebanon in Cairo. The Kingdom is concerned that any further increase in violence in the country will only serve to benefit external extremist forces and could lead to a return to civil war.
