20Sep2005 New Power Generation Projects Approved

Riyadh, 20 September, 2005

Two power generation projects, to link Alshuaiba 2 power station with the load network and the other to replace two electro reactors at the main transfer station in Qassim were approved by the Saudi Electricity Company during a meeting chaired by the Minister of Water and Electricity, Abdullah bin Abdulrahman Alhussein in Riyadh today.

In a statement following the meeting, the Minister said the two projects will cost SR433 million.

He said the meeting approved increasing the cost of the projects by SR32.5 million in Aljouf region, in addition to a number of new water and power projects.
