10Aug2005 Amman Municipality Names Square After King Fahd

Amman, 10th August, 2005

The Municipality of Amman has decided to name one of the major squares in the city after the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdulaziz in line with the directives of King Abdullah II of Jordan.

The Saudi Ambassador to Jordan, Abdulrahman Al-Ohali expressed his appreciation of this decision and said it embodied the existing deep-rooted relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Jordan.

”It stands as a sign of respect earned by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Jordan”, he said in a statement to the Saudi Press Agency. Al-Ohali confirmed that the Saudi-Jordanian relations would further deepen in a manner that would benefit both Saudis and Jordanians.
