The International Criminal Police Organization, INTERPOL, has named Dr Abdulaziz bin Saqr Al-Ghamidi, the President of Naif Arab University for Security Sciences, as member of INTERPOL's consultative experts committee.
In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency, Dr Al-Ghamidi said: 'Following this development, Naif Arab University for Security Sciences will be the only organization capable of addressing delegations of 190 countries at the general assembly of INTERPOL, to be held in September 2006 in Berlin for the first time.
'This development embodies the distinguished status of the Naif Arab University and the good reputation it has earned at the international arena', he said.
Dr Al-Ghamidi pointed out that the University this year carried out various training programs in Austria, Czech Republic, France, Germany and Spain, in addition to the training programs in the Arab countries.
INTERPOL's consultative experts committee aims to develop INTERPOL's strategic plans, as well as enhancing the international police cooperation in the field of combating crime.
