Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier and Commander of the National Guard, has sent a cable of congratulations to the U.S. President George W. Bush on the anniversary of his country's Independence Day.
In his cable, Crown Prince Abdullah sent his sincere felicitations to the President and wished the American people steady progress and prosperity.
"We avail ourselves of this opportunity to reaffirm, once again, to Your Excellency, our determination to proceed with whatever serves this world and leads to its stability. This end will only be reached through first, trusting in God and second, through the determination of the honest people of the world who vow to improve whatever enhances peace opportunities and honorable living for all peoples on the earth", Crown Prince Abdullah said in his cable.
He also confirmed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is, together with its friends, proceeding to fight terrorism, noting the pivotal role of the United States in this field and recognizing the appreciable efforts it has been exerting.
"The role being played by Your Excellency in the peace process in the Middle East depends on God first and on the wisdom and experience you are offering for reaching a final solution to this thorny issue. We are gearing forward to this noble goal which is targeted by all peace-and-stability-loving people in the entire world", Crown Prince Abdullah added.
He concluded by saying: "Your Excellency, please be advised that the history of relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United States stands as an evidence for the depth of these relations between our two people and countries for the benefit and the good of all".
