Iyad bin Ameen Madani, the Minister of Culture and Education, accompanied by Prince Turki bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Assistant Minister of Culture and Information, received here today officials of the Saudi Publishers' Association.
During the meeting, the minister urged the association officials to do whatever promotes Saudi book publishing, particularly children literature, the organizing of book exhibitions and attracting Saudi and expatriates authors' and translators' works.
For his part, Prince Turki proposed that periodical meetings be held between the concerned officials in the Ministry and the Board of Directors of the association to follow-up the implementation of the ideas discussed in today's meeting.
