06May2005 Saudi Arabia To Host First Arab Medical Conference On Intensive Care

Taif, Saudi Arabia, 6 May 2005

On Monday, the Armed Forces Hospitals in Al-Hada and Taif will hold the 1st Arab International Medical Conference on "Intensive Care."

In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Director of Armed Forces Hospital programs in Al-Hada and Taif and Chairman of the Conference Brigadier General Dr. Saed Al-Asmari said the conference is honored with the care of Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, the Second Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General.

He added that the conference is considered as the first of its kind in the Arab World with the participation of 800 delegates and 60 well- known speakers from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Algeria, Malaysia, the United States, Canada, France, Holland, Switzerland, Germany, Spain, Norway, Britain, India and South Africa.

Dr. Al-Asmari said the conference will focus on in-depth review of diagnosis and special care for critical patients. It will have 6 workshops dealing with various aspects of intensive medical care.
