Following the incident previously reported - in which security forces chased a car containing two persons belonging to the deviant group and the consequent death of one them and the injury of the other in one of Riyadh's residential districts - an official source at the Ministry of Interior said that early today, the security forces that searched the area had come under fire. An individual in a car threw grenades, lightly injuring four security men. The security forces at the scene chased the car and exchanged fire with its driver, killing him instantly.
Meanwhile, security forces in Jeddah province arrested a person suspected of belonging to the deviant group after he was injured resisting arrest by the security forces as he tried to flee. Investigation is still under way. Another supplementary statement will be issued later to give further details.
